Libra parents are fair-minded, reasonable, kind and affectionate. They share their love equally among their offspring, administer discipline even-handedly and never allow their bigger children to bully or take advantage of the smaller ones. They tend to treat their children as adults, asking their opinions and advice from an early age, never patronising or being condescending towards them. They are generous to a fault and have a tendency to spoil their youngsters.

Despite her easy-going approach to her family, Libra mother can be quite firm if the occasion demands it. She may infuriate her children, on occasions, by refusing to make a decision ‘until Dad comes home’. She may give in too easily to requests for a new toy or a special privilege in order to keep the peace. But whatever she does will be for the best of reasons and will be weighed up carefully – probably too carefully – before she goes ahead.

Libra father will also think long and hard before coming to any serious conclusions about the treatment or upbringing of his offspring. However, once he does, his mind is made up, sometimes to the point of being over-judgmental or downright critical. He encourages his children to find their own path through life and to develop at their own speed and in their own way.

Libra parents tend not to display their emotions to their children, although they are quite happy to discuss them in rational and objective terms. They enjoy family life and throw wonderful children’s parties.
