Once a Gemini toddler has learned to talk –
and that is, generally, at an earlier-than-average age –
he or she is unlikely to stop. The same goes for reading and
writing. Gemini is the sign of communication and it is the
most important aspect of Geminis’ lives from the moment
they are born.
Gemini children have quick wits and lively minds.
They need a constant supply of material providing mental stimulation
and must be allowed to dart from project to project if and
when it suits them. That does not mean that they should not
be encouraged to complete whatever tasks they start: they
should. But, on the whole, Gemini youngsters do seem to function
better when they are dealing with more than one thing at a
time.
Because of this propensity to become easily
bored, Gemini children are in danger of never learning or
doing anything properly. They need to be taught that to master
any task requires time and hard work. Parents should try to
lighten their Gemini youngsters; natural intensity with laughter,
fun and games. Their logical minds make it hard for them to
cope with displays of emotion.
Since they have their own very well-oiled
mental processes, Gemini children often find it extremely
difficult to accept the beliefs or attitudes of other people.
As teenagers, Geminis tend to be restless, moody and in constant
need of support and encouragement for their ideas, no matter
how outlandish they may be. It is important they their parents
give them rational and clear-cut reasons for any limitations
they may impose upon them. To tell a Gemini child not to do
something ‘because I say so’ is a waste of time
and, ultimately,
unproductive.
